WORKING TOGETHER

At TOP Transport Australia, we recognise that COVID-19 has created a unique set of circumstances that have a significant impact on the way companies undertake business.

After reviewing statements from Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), Safe Work Australia and the Federal Government, TOP Transport has implemented the following procedures to minimise any potential risks.



We have broken down our response into the following categories:

Monitor for Symptoms

We have directed workers to stay at home if they are sick and if they are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, ask them to contact the National Helpline (1800 020 080) and get tested. Employees are to be granted additional sick days while the test is pending.

Health & Hygiene Practices

We have placed hand sanitiser at key areas and handed out bottles of sanitiser to the drivers for use on sites. Limit contact at site to only when necessary and temporarily suspended the signing of connotes.

Training

We have communicated with our workers to identify and understand risks around Coronavirus to be able to actively control against the transmission of COVID-19.
Signs have been placed at key locations displaying the correct procedure for washing your hands effectively with soap and water.
Drivers have been instructed to limit leaving their vehicles to essential matters only.

Cleaning

A comprehensive clean is done at the yard various times a week, with frequently used areas cleaned daily in the morning and afternoon with disinfectant. 
Drivers clean down their cabs after every shift.

Physical & Social Distancing

Drivers are to practice social distancing as much as safely possible and only essential stops are allowed during working hours. 
Drivers are directed not to carry any passengers.
Posters have been put up to remind everyone to keep at least 1.5m distance.

Contact Tracing

We have directed drivers to log on their daily run sheet any additional stops outside the pickup and delivery addresses. 

We at TOP Transport acknowledge that the situation is unfamiliar and constantly changing.



As such, all measures are open to be added to or changed based on new advice given.



We are open to any suggestions from customers or drivers to keep our work environment as safe as possible.
